Almost everybody has tender points in their bodies. As fibro does not show up in the blood or on films, the best Docs can do is to try to find these tender points as a means of Diagnosing Fibromyalgia. I submit that a better way is:
If a person has unexplained pain, fatigue, insomnia, depression, fogginess in thinking and stomach problems, its more likely than not that the person has Fibromyalgia. Ad to this sensitivity to touch, small, taste and hearing, headaches, and all kinds of other symptoms and it almost a sure bet.
Generally as docs don’t know how to really Diagnosis fibro, you are put through all kinds of tests to rule out other illnesses. Generally these other tests are negative.
I have found that Diagnosing fibro is in the History, Asking the questions from above and one look in the persons eyes, generally tell me me the story.
